The Role
This is a hands-on, embedded engineering role with a strong consulting dimension. You’ll act as a local change agent—someone who builds trust, delivers tangible results quickly, and helps teams become self-sufficient with AI.
You won’t just build solutions for teams—you’ll enable them to adopt and evolve those solutions themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed within a team and deeply understand their workflows (e.g., design, art, engineering, QA, LiveOps, analytics, support)
- Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can improve efficiency or outcomes
- Design and ship AI-powered tools, agents, and workflow improvements on rapid cycles (days to weeks)
- Examples of work may include:
- AI-assisted QA scenario generation and evaluation
- Automation of bug reporting workflows across tools
- Natural language interfaces for querying data
- Streamlining creative or production pipelines
- Internal AI assistants for recurring company processes
- Coach team members through hands-on sessions, workshops, and documentation
- Drive adoption—success is measured by team usage, not individual output
- Surface scalable opportunities and share learnings with a central AI function
Required Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM-based applications in real workflows (prompting, RAG, agents, evaluations, tool use, etc.)
- Familiarity with modern AI development tools (e.g., agentic coding tools and workflows)
- Strong consulting mindset—able to quickly build trust and adapt to new teams
- High autonomy and ownership in both problem definition and execution
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to work on-site in Helsinki regularly
Preferred Background
- Experience in the video game industry (any discipline)
- Experience working closely with non-engineering stakeholders (designers, artists, producers)
- Understanding of game production environments (engines, pipelines, live services)
Also Considered
- Background in creative tooling, digital content creation, or real-time 3D ecosystems
- Experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing AI roles
- Engineers with experience embedding into non-technical teams in media, entertainment, or consumer products
Who This Role Suits
Someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working closely with diverse teams, and prefers shipping real-world solutions over building in isolation. You’re as comfortable discussing workflows with creatives as you are designing technical systems—and you measure success by impact and adoption.
