The focus of assignment is to help design and build customer and returning-user analytics as well as evolve the data architecture to support a scaling business.

Current setup
- Data platform: Google BigQuery
- Analytics and reporting are currently largely query-based (e.g. churn point analysis)
- A commercial analytics product has been used, but the team has not been fully satisfied with it
Role
The freelancer will work hands-on with the team to shape how analytics and data infrastructure are implemented going forward. The role may include:
- Developing and improving the data architecture
- Designing data models and analytics foundations
- Enabling customer and retention analytics
- Evaluating and potentially implementing analytics tooling
- Supporting the transition toward a more scalable analytics setup
This is an opportunity to influence how the company builds its analytics capabilities as the business continues to grow.
Desired experience
- Strong experience in Data Engineering roles
- Experience with modern data stacks and cloud data platforms
- Experience with Google BigQuery or similar technologies
- Ability to design scalable data architectures
- Experience in gaming, consumer products, or high-scale user analytics is a plus
