Join a brand-new, still-being-defined product area within a supply chain optimization team, helping bring structure and momentum to a space that spans forecasting, replenishment, inventory, and sales & operations planning.
Start
19.10.2026, ASAP
Duration
12months +
Location
Remote, Helsinki, remote
Allocation
80 - 100%
In this role, you will:
Operate as a true generalist across a wide and shifting set of topics — one day it's forecasting, the next it's replenishment, the next it's planning constraints — without a fixed, narrow scope.
Take on hands-on work such as building dashboards, pulling together information from existing systems and environments, and figuring out what's usable and what isn't.
Work daily with AI tooling (an internal AI-assisted development harness, along with agents/skills and similar tools) to get things built and iterated quickly — without needing to be a traditional developer or software engineer.
Learn fast in a domain-heavy space (supply chain / inventory planning software) where new team members are expected to absorb a lot quickly and start contributing within weeks, not months.
Take initiative — proactively asking what needs doing, flagging assumptions clearly (including when something comes from an LLM output versus verified documentation), and pairing with existing team members to build domain knowledge.
Act as a long-term, embedded team member rather than someone brought in for a single fixed project — the scope and priorities will keep shifting as the area matures.
Bring an outside, consultant-style perspective — comfortable asking "why did we choose this approach?" rather than just executing.
You will thrive if:
Your personal characteristics are your strongest asset: sharp, curious, industrious, ambitious, high-energy, and genuinely engaged by solving open-ended problems.
You have a demonstrated short learning curve — ideally with a concrete example of coming into a new environment or assignment and starting to produce results within weeks, not months.
You communicate clearly and proactively, including being explicit about assumptions, sources, and uncertainty.
You're comfortable being a generalist who moves between topics rather than owning one narrow specialty — this isn't a role for someone who only wants to "do data science" or "do development."
You're genuinely comfortable working with AI tools daily (coding agents, AI harnesses, skills) — this is explicitly not a developer role, so deep programming background is not required.
Experience with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), IBP (Integrated Business Planning), seasonal planning, supply chain, or SaaS-type platforms is a strong plus, though not a hard requirement.
You're fluent in English.
You can commit close to full-time allocation (some flexibility possible, e.g. around 80%) starting as soon as possible, and you're open to visiting the client's Helsinki office occasionally for onboarding and team face time (not a weekly on-site requirement).
