Our client, a large technology company, is looking for a PKI / Certificate Automation Architect to support the development of certificate-related services as part of their IT outsourcing service portfolio.
The client provides services related to public certificates used in customer environments, devices and services. As certificate lifetimes are continuously shortening, manual certificate management is becoming increasingly challenging.
To address this, the client is planning to design and evaluate automation capabilities around certificate lifecycle management. The goal of this assignment is to:
- evaluate automation options and technology alternatives
- define a target model for certificate lifecycle automation
- test and validate possible approaches
- support the definition of a future service and operating model
The initial phase focuses on assessment, architecture planning and technology evaluation.
After this phase, there is a potential continuation option to participate in building the automation capabilities and implementing the selected solutions.
The work primarily focuses on public certificate lifecycle management.
Skills we are looking for
- Strong experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle management
- Understanding of designing automation solutions for certificate management
- Experience evaluating and selecting technical solutions and architectures
- Ability to define automation models, technical concepts and solution alternatives
Considered an advantage
- Experience with ACME protocol / ACME-based certificate automation
- Experience with CLM (Certificate Lifecycle Management) tools
- Experience integrating solutions with ServiceNow
Working model
Work can be performed fully remotely.
Working languages
English or Finnish. Finnish is considered an advantage.
Start and duration
April 2026 / negotiable
The assignment begins with an initial assessment phase (~3 months) focusing on architecture design and solution evaluation. After this phase, there is a potential continuation option for the implementation and build phase, which may be significantly longer.
Allocation is negotiable between 40–100%.
Security clearance is required (estimated duration 4–6 weeks). Work can begin before the clearance process is completed.
