Data Engineer

LOCATION POLAND

Join a data engineering initiative building and owning ELT pipelines and analytics data models end-to-end, from unclear requirements through to production, as part of a large existing delivery team.

Start

05.10.2026, ASAP

Duration

3monts + potential extension

Location

Poland, remote, remote

Allocation

100%

In this role, you will:
  • Lead data engineering initiatives end-to-end — from requirements gathering through to production deployment, including work that serves AI use cases.
  • Design and build ELT pipelines loading data from Azure Blob Storage into Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain dbt transformation models that deliver scalable, reliable analytics datasets.
  • Write Python scripts for data orchestration and more advanced transformations.
  • Leverage Snowflake-specific features, including Snowflake Cortex, for AI-driven use cases.
  • Act as the technical bridge between business users and delivery teams, identifying and unblocking delivery bottlenecks before they become real problems.
  • Proactively propose improvements, new approaches, and solutions rather than waiting to be asked.

You will thrive if:
  • You're self-driven, setting your own pace and direction rather than needing close direction.
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity — unclear requirements are a challenge to work through, not a blocker.
  • You're a collaborative communicator, clear, and effective across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You have 5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering with a modern data stack focus, including 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience (including advanced, platform-specific features) and some years of hands-on dbt Cloud experience in production environments.
  • You have solid Python skills for orchestration and transformation use cases, and strong experience with Azure and Azure Blob Storage integrations.
  • You have exposure to Snowflake Cortex, AI/ML data patterns, the Snowflake semantic layer, and how data design choices affect model performance.
  • As a plus: Snowflake/Azure certifications, relevant education (AI, Data Science, Big Data, ML, or similar), Power BI experience, or expert-level dbt knowledge
  • You can start as soon as possible and commit to full-time (100%) allocation through at least 31.12.2026, with continuation expected beyond that.
  • You're comfortable working remotely from Poland; a Finnish candidate is also possible, though a Poland-based fit is preferred given the work is delivered into the Polish team.
