Snowflake Data Engineer/Architect

Snowflake, Data Modeling

Are you a Snowflake Data Engineer / Architect looking for a new project? We currently have an exciting opportunity for you with an industrial client.

Start

After summer

Duration

Several weeks to several months

Location

Remote

Allocation

50-100%

We are looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer / Architect to support our industrial client in migrating their existing data warehouse to Snowflake and building a flexible, maintainable data model on top of it. The role combines hands-on data engineering with architectural design, with strong emphasis on data modeling, integrations, and daily data movement.

Role description
In this role you will design and implement the migration of the client's current data warehouse into Snowflake, and build a data model that is both flexible and easy to use. The work covers architectural design, defining and implementing the daily data ingestion mechanism, and supporting the long-term maintenance of the model.
Data is loaded from drives/industrial applications into Snowflake on the cloud edge. The current reporting stack is built on Microsoft technologies and is being moved into the new environment. In addition to Snowflake know-how, the role calls for integration work using Mulesoft to transform and move data between systems.
The data involved is not sensitive, so no security clearance is required. The work can be done fully remotely without office presence or client-side tooling, and either in Finnish or English. The role suits an experienced senior who can work independently, navigate the client's ticketing and procurement processes, and drive progress without heavy hand-holding. Junior candidates are not considered for this role.

Required skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (architecture and engineering)
  • Solid data modeling skills -> ability to design models that are both flexible and clear to use
  • Experience defining and implementing data ingestion / loading mechanisms
  • Ability to work independently

Nice to have
  • Mulesoft integration experience
  • Experience migrating Microsoft-based reporting stacks into Snowflake
  • Familiarity with large industrial enterprise environments and their procurement / ticketing processes

Start: Late summer / early autumn 2026 (ASAP possible)
Duration: Several weeks to several months
Location: Remote (Finland or international)
Allocation: 50–100 %
