We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with expertise in strength of materials and mechanical design to contribute to the development and maintenance of an industrial calculation application. The project combines both modern and legacy technologies: you’ll work in a .NET environment that includes calculation components developed as far back as 15–20 years ago.
Technical Skills and Requirements
- Strong background in strength of materials and mechanical design
- Programming experience across multiple phases of a project
- Familiarity with both C# and Visual Basic 6 (VB6) components
- Understanding of integrating legacy components into a modern .NET environment
- Previous experience with configurators or calculation tools is a strong plus
Timeline and Duration
- Start: ideally January 2026
- The initial project phase will last 6 months (+ very likely continuation if the collaboration is successful)
Work Environment
- Primarily remote work (some onsite in the beginning)
Language Requirements
- Working language is English
- Finnish language skills are considered an advantage
