Project Overview

Automation industry customer is looking for a senior Data Architect Consultant to support the initial setup of the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) AI CoE and to shape the data and AI architecture foundations. The role focuses on ensuring AI readiness of the data platform and enabling generative AI use cases in a pragmatic, consultative manner. The current platform is TimeXtender on Microsoft Azure, with data platform design already in progress. To enable AI at scale, data quality and architecture must be strengthened.

Key Responsibilities

Support the early-phase architecture design of the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE).
Assess the current Azure / TimeXtender data platform from an AI readiness perspective.
Define a target-state data and AI architecture enabling generative AI.
Provide guidance on data quality, governance, and architectural improvements required for AI adoption.
Define architectural principles, patterns, and guidelines for data, analytics, and AI.
Advise on AI enablement for internal functions (office productivity, sales, marketing).
Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders.

Deliverables

AI and data architecture assessment.
Target-state architecture and high-level diagrams.
Clear, prioritized recommendations for data quality and governance improvements.
Architectural input to the AI CoE operating model.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Data Architect, AI Architect, or Senior Data & AI Consultant.
Strong experience with Microsoft, Google and other cloud data platforms.
Microsoft Fabric and Azure expertise.
Solid understanding of generative AI in enterprise environments.
Experience in data quality, governance, and scalable architectures.
Consultative mindset; ability to operate in a technology-agnostic advisory role.
