Short advisory engagement expected to begin in early August 2026, with an estimated effort of around 10 days in total. The assignment covers creating a security baseline, facilitating a design review workshop, and performing a final audit of the cloud data platform infrastructure prior to approval.
In this role, you will:
- Define and deliver a practical security baseline for a cloud-based data platform at the start of the engagement.
- Review the platform’s architecture, controls, and configuration to identify security or compliance gaps.
- Lead a design review workshop with the platform team, using the baseline to validate decisions and guide remediation.
- Conduct a final audit of the platform infrastructure to confirm required cybersecurity and compliance measures are in place before progression.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations that help a non-specialist internal team improve and maintain a secure setup.
You will thrive if:
- You have demonstrable experience securing cloud data platforms and assessing their end-to-end security posture (Azure)
- You are comfortable translating security requirements into clear baselines, design guidance, and practical next steps.
- You can independently review cloud infrastructure and spot omissions across controls, compliance, and cybersecurity domains.
- You communicate confidently in workshop settings and can advise teams that do not have deep in-house security expertise.
- You are available for a short expert engagement starting in early August and able to deliver value quickly.
