Project description:
The Clients comprehensive and modular solution covers all the core MES functionalities across the value chain, from order handling through customer service management. The business and investments are rapidly growing in this area. Therefore there is a need for a System Manager to strengthen the team. In this role you will be working in projects and after sales activities focusing on system administration.
Your responsibilities:
- Design of Hardware Infrastructure needs both in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
- Participating in the project bidding process by specifying the needed hardware
- Hardware purchase management including tendering process from the third parties
- Managing, maintaining and supporting the customers and in-house virtualized data-center in co-operation with corporate IT (hardware, software, networks, storage, licenses, investments, VMware, AD)
- Designing and erecting computer system installations in customer projects
- System installations and configuration of Clients software products
- Consulting business units in virtualization and datacenter technologies
- Documentation
- Communication and training with the customers
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience with virtualized systems and administration of Linux and VMware HA clusters including disc systems
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating system
- Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (for example Oracle)
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish
- Experience with any of the following is considered an advantage: networks and TCP/IP, MS Windows Servers, AD, MS PowerShell (C# programming), Windows Azure, Microsoft Office tools
