In this role, you will work at the intersection of data engineering, governance, and compliance, building and automating privacy-first data solutions across a modern cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain data engineering solutions on a modern cloud-based platform (including Databricks)
Implement and manage data classification, tagging, cataloging, and access control mechanisms
Design and enforce GDPR-compliant data lifecycle management processes
Automate retention policies, data subject request workflows, and ROPA documentation
Integrate vendor compliance requirements into data platform processes
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with embedded policy enforcement and automated quality controls
Develop AI-driven tools to automate compliance reporting and documentation
Collaborate closely with Legal, security teams, and data domain stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience in data engineering on modern cloud-based data platforms, including Databricks
Proven expertise in data governance practices (tagging, classification, catalog management, access control)
Solid understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements (retention policies, data subject requests, ROPA, pseudonymization)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines with policy enforcement and automated validation
Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation to compliance workflows
Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal and multiple data domain teams
Strong communication skills in English and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
