Our customer in meditech industry are currently migrating from VMware to a new virtual computing platform, so there is a need for an expert with broad experience across virtualization environments such as Azure Native, Azure Local, Nutanix, and others.
In this role, you will build and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure for engineering activities, and lead virtual machine workload migrations between platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain infrastructure (cloud and on-prem) for R&D.
- Deploy and troubleshoot hardware and software in engineering environments.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Migrate VMs between different virtualization platforms.
- Provide technical support and continuously improve infrastructure solutions.
- Document processes, maintain inventory, and share knowledge with the team.
- Work as part of a global team; occasional travel
Requirements
- Strong expertise in virtual computing platforms ( Azure Local, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix).
- Proven experience in VM workload migration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure), Windows Server, Active Directory, and automation tools (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
- Understanding of networks, IT security, monitoring, and backup systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, TFS, Kubernetes).
- Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.
