We are looking for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer for our customer in the medtech industry. The role focuses on Windows-based on-premises infrastructure environments and includes the operation and support of both virtualized and physical platforms.
You will work as part of the Test Infrastructure and Platforms team, following defined processes, runbooks, and technical specifications. The role requires occasional onsite presence, including work in a server room environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and support of physical infrastructure (servers, networking equipment, firewalls)
- Administration of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and core services
- Build, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines in a VMware environment
- Use of PowerShell scripting for automation and operational tasks
- Troubleshooting and documentation of infrastructure issues
- Collaboration with hardware and software vendors
- Rack & stack and cabling tasks in an on-premises server room environment
Requirements
- Experience with on-premises Windows infrastructure administration
- Hands-on experience with physical hardware in an enterprise environment
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS
- Basic to advanced use of PowerShell
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls)
- Ability to work according to documented processes and procedures
- Good communication skills in English
- Considered an advantage: experience with Dell hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware, Azure, Infrastructure as Code tools, and Linux environments.
Assignment Details
This full-time assignment starts in March and runs at least until September 30th. After the first phase, the contract will be extended on a year-by-year basis.
