Senior Data Architect & Advisor

Our client, operating in the electricity and telecommunications network industry, is undergoing a transformation of their enterprise and data architecture. This initiative will reshape key data models and require updates to data schemas, integrations, and reporting structures. 

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to work closely with enterprise architecture, business, and technology stakeholders in a hands-on advisory role.

As part of the transformation:

  • Reporting practices are being redefined to improve KPI consistency, alignment, and business ownership across domains
  • Microsoft Power BI is being introduced alongside Qlik, with initial reporting already delivered for the first phase of the IFS ERP modernization
  • The long-term goal is to transition primarily to Power BI
  • While Data Vault modeling remains in use, there is a parallel need to assess and potentially migrate to Microsoft Fabric

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee end-to-end data architecture across ERP (IFS), integrations, data platforms, and analytics
  • Ensure data consistency, security, and reliability across systems
  • Translate business and analytics needs into scalable data models, data flows, and platform designs
  • Align solutions with enterprise architecture and data governance principles
  • Support performance, scalability, and usability of BI and advanced analytics solutions

Requirements
  • Strong expertise in modern data platforms and analytics ecosystems
  • Proven experience in data modeling (e.g., Data Vault)
  • Solid understanding of ERP and integration architectures
  • Ability to effectively bridge business and technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, especially Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric, is a strong advantage

Assignment Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial contract until end of 2026 (extension possible)
  • Allocation: Minimum 50%, likely ~80% at the start
  • Location: Key stakeholders based in Espoo and Stockholm
