Our enterprise customer from energy grid metering domain is looking for a senior data architect / backend developer to join the customer's virtual team of architects and engineers to design and implement a company wide target architecture to manage metering device event and metadata. In the virtual team you will first design data architecture and data models for persisting and utilizing device configuration data. Together with in-house experts you will also design the processing pipelines, models and storages for streaming metering event data. After a successful design phase, you can continue in the team in the lead developer role, leading the implementation of the designs.
In the assignment you will interact with technical experts and business stakeholders from various different European countries. Travel is not required.
To succeed in the role you have
- Proven track record in designing enterprise level data architectures and models for document and event data
- Hands-on experience in implementing enterprise grade NoSQL and time series databases, in a lead role
- Project experience with PostgreSQL. MongoDB and InfluxDB big pluses but not mandatory
- Strong team player and stakeholder management skills to get things done in a distributed, multinational European team
- Experience in working in a back-end developer role a big plus
- Experience in designing data architectures for a hybrid cloud a big plus
