You will be joining a team of skilled and motivated professionals from varying backgrounds and expertise. The team works within the Agile framework and is operating autonomously within the thresholds of the business objectives and timelines. The team is also continuously developing their ways of working and related practicalities to ensure effective teamwork as well as everyone’s wellbeing and psychological safety. Work is done in a hybrid setup enabling flexibility, but face-to-face teamwork is also encouraged and there are occasional mandatory office days in Helsinki. The team is multicultural, so English is a must.
Technologies our client is working with include Azure, Unity Catalog, Databricks, Python, Spark, Delta tables and also AWS components until they have fully transitioned into Azure.
Your responsibilities include:
• Developing a robust data ingestion and transformation system and operating it in a production environment
• Understanding business requirements and modelling specifications and translating them to data requirements
• Investigating and analyzing data availability and usability throughout the data landscape
• Developing, implementing and supporting data sourcing processes
• Developing and implementing data quality rules
• Planning the credit risk data architecture transition towards target state architecture in Azure cloud environment in cooperation with relevant parallel projects
Required skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Python language
• Advanced knowledge of designing, developing and managing data processing pipelines
• Experience in cloud-based data processing solutions (Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog)
• Data management and analysis
• Experience of CI/CD pipelines: packaging, deployment and moving solution to production
• Production running of a system
• Git
• SQL
• Strong problem-solving skills, team player mentality, and good communication skills
Optional/Beneficial:
• Experience in software engineering and DevOps
• API experience (FastAPI etc, Docker)
