Our client is looking for a Lead Developer / Cloud Architect to support a cloud migration project from an internal cloud environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The selected consultant will be responsible for setting up the new GCP environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Proactivity, curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools and methods are key to succeeding in this role.
Team Setup:
The current team consists of 2 Data Scientists, 1 Data Engineer, 1 domain expert, 2 Software Developers, and 1 Architect.

Key Technical Skills Required:
- Proven experience in building services in GCP from scratch and/or migrating services to GCP
- Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and/or Pulumi
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of GCP AI/ML tooling, especially Vertex AI
- Previous exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Familiarity with agile/lean software development practices
- GCP certifications, e.g. Professional Cloud Architect and/or Professional Machine Learning Engineer
Seen as an advantage:
- Java or Golang development experience
- A willingness to contribute to improving team processes and development practices
Other:
Working language in the team is mainly English; Finnish skills are not required.
The team has a weekly in-office day and a monthly development day onsite in Helsinki. Therefore, the candidate should be available to join the team at the office one day per week. Otherwise, the work is remote.
A basic Finnish security clearance (SUPO) is required, which necessitates residency in Finland for five years.
Working language in the team is mainly English; Finnish skills are not required.
